Representatives from ICAO, IATA, CANSO and 14 Member States discussed and exchanged experiences on cyber threats, safety risks to Air Traffic Management Systems and Airport Services. Unlike traditional security threats, the cyber threats do not have geographical boundary and can cause substantial tangible and intangible damages for airports in a fairly short period of time. While technology brings operations efficiency and various benefits to aviation industry, we shall be mindful with its associating potential risks for necessary precautions. To safeguard the safe operations of aviation community, apart from the existing SARPs, ICAO is actively developing specific SARPs for Cybersecurity. Further elaboration with Member States will be made in the ICAO Asia Pacific Regional CNS Subgroup Meeting.

Ensuring safety and security of Macau International Airport (MIA) is always the paramount mission of CAM in which we shall endeavor to continue with the implementation of corresponding security measures meeting international and local standards to provide safe and quality services for sustainable healthy development of Macau International Airport.
