CAM Representatives Attended Air Cargo Europe 201911 Jun 2019

The Air Cargo Europe 2019 was held at Messe München, Munich, Germany from 4th to 7th June 2019. The delegation of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) including Mr. Jim Leung – Deputy Director of Logistic and General Aviation Development Department (LGD) and Ms. Emma Zhou – Officer of LGD attended this event.


Air Cargo Europe, part of Transport Logistics, held once every two years, is the world largest logistic industry exhibition in the world. As the world leading logistic trade fair, Air Cargo Europe gave the global logistics industry a platform to establish an in-depth connection with global logistic service providers, manufacturers, institutes and other professions and take a close look at the cutting-edge technologies, product and solutions on display as well as build long-term cooperative partnership with global customers to achieve strategic change for enterprises. Macau International Airport saw freight volumes shrink slightly this year due to Sino-US trade War. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand of airlines in Asia-Pacific region decreased by 3.4% in March 2019, compared to the same period in 2018. IATA also stated that weaker manufacturing conditions for exporters in the region, ongoing trade tensions and a slowing of the Chinese economy impacted the market. Capacity decreased by 1.0%.
