Macau International Airport Representatives Participated in the World Routes Conference 2019 at Adelaide10 Oct 2019

The 25th World Routes Development Forum took place in Adelaide, Australia during the 21st to 24th September 2019.  Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department and Mr. Daniel Lam, Manager of Marketing Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) represented to join the forum. 

 

World Routes 2019 is the industry’s largest route development forum. The subject forum gathered aviation professionals from worldwide, bringing together the largest range of civil aviation representatives from across 130 countries; over 3,000 delegates from airlines, airports, tourism authorities, and service providers attended the event. 

 

The 4-day event provides an opportunity for the representatives from Macau International Airport (MIA) to negotiate new routes and discuss the performance of existing services with decision makers from the world’s leading aviation organizations. They took this valuable chance to promote and introduced the overview of MIA, foster new and develop existing business relationships with target airlines and various airports. This included some prospective airlines companies from China, Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia and India who were interested in the Macau market. Moreover, in the forum a number of airlines showed intention to operate flight services to Macau and some of the existing airlines will increase frequency. MIA has been actively seeking for opportunities to diversify its flight services; it is hoped by attending the subject forum will bring in more leading global carriers to the Macau market, providing passengers with more travel options.
