Blessing Ceremony for the Macau International Airport Dragon Boat Team18 May 2013

Macau International Airport (MIA) has always been actively promoting Macau traditional culture, and encouraging staff to actively participate in various sports and recreational activities.  This year CAM organized an MIA Dragon Boat Team composes staff from Macau International Airport Co., Ltd. (CAM), Administration of Airport Ltd. (ADA), Airport Information Management Solutions (AIMS), and Macau International Airport Security (SEMAC) to take part in the 2013 Macau International Dragon Boat Race co-organized by the Macau Sports Development Bureau and the China Macau Dragon Boat Association.  A Blessing Ceremony was held at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Center on the 18th May 2013 with high management joined in.

The ceremony was led by CAM – Executive Directors Mr. Tsui Wai Kwan and Mr. Leong Sio Pui, ADA – Chief Executive Officer Mr. Patrick Ong, AIMS – Managing Director Ms. Sharon Wang, SEMAC – Deputy General Manager Mr. Frank Wu, CAM – Chief of Executive Committee Office Ms. Katy Lo, and Director of Marketing Department Mr. Eric Fong, bringing blessings to the team in the competition.  Mr. Tsui and Mr. Leong dotted the eyes of the dragon boat and splashed water (which means wishes) to the athletes, the ceremony ended with the splutter of firecrackers.  It is MIA’s debut in joining the Macau Dragon Boat Race; the team has started training in the early March of this year, striving to achieve outstanding result in the competition.
