MIA Support the ORBIS 3rd Generation Flying Eye Hospital Event

Macau International Airport Co., Ltd. (CAM) was invited by ORBIS Macau to attend the 3rd Generation ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital Opening Ceremony on the 14th October 2016. Officiating guests in the opening ceremony include: Representative of Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture, Director of Health Bureau Mr. Lei Chin Ion, Director of the Department of Education and Culture of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R. Ms. Xu Ting, Director of Macau Civil Aviation Authority Mr. Simon Chan, Representative of CAM - Director of Marketing Department Mr. Eric Fong, and Chief Development Officer of ORBIS International Mr. Paul Forrest.

Macau International Airport Representatives Participated in the World

The 22nd World Routes Development Forum organized by United Business Media Group and hosted by Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport Forum took place in China Chengdu from 25th – 27th September, 2016. Representatives from Macau International Airport Co. Ltd. (CAM), Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department, and Mr. Daniel Lam, Manager of Marketing Department represented to participate in this Forum. This year’s forum gathered 3,000 representatives from 110 countries around the world, including over 230 world’s leading airlines, 470 airports and more than 80 national tourism organizations. This premier industry event is the largest scale so far organized. The goal of this event is to promote national culture and tourism with one-on-one networking opportunities, as to strengthen the communication between airports and airlines for future route development. Airlines sent representatives from route development and planning to understand the operation of each airport and the potential of the city, as well as to conduct in-depth research about the schedule and slot requirements of each airport.

Delegation from Macau International Airport Co. Ltd (CAM) has participated in the Alipay Global Airport Summit 2016 and the announcement of Global Airport of Future which took place at Shanghai Film Plaza on 26th September, 2016. Through this summit, MIA has joined hands with other international airports worldwide for the usage of Alipay, by using of mobile technology and big data capacity, to enhance worldwide global business travel experiences in the future.
