Macau International Airport handles over 630,000 Passengers in August

Macau International Airport (MIA) recorded its busiest month ever in August to reach the over 630,000 passenger movements and over 5,000 aircraft movement mark for the first time. Passenger traffic of 630,000 and over 5,000 landings and take-offs were handled in August both set a new airport record as the highest single month passenger traffic and aircraft movement, gaining 10% and 2.8% over last year respectively. In August, MIA has handled about 120,000 Macau resident travels from and to Macau International Airport marking year-on-year increases of 11%.

MIA advises Passengers to pay close attention of flight updates during

From 13rd September 2016, Taiwan has been affected by the thunderstorm “Meranti”, some of the flights going to and from Taiwan have been suspended or cancelled. MIA with other operation units took precaution on handling affected flights. To provide the most updated flight information based on the changes of weather, as to ensure service assurance and passengers’ punctual boarding. Passengers are advised to check the updated flight information before heading to the airport.

The “Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao Air Freight Integration Development Forum” was held at the Zhuhai-Macao Cross-Border Industrial Zone on 21 July 2016. The Zhuhai Municipal People’s Government and the logistics industries from Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao joined the Forum with aims at pursuing the goal to achieve mutual prosperity of the industry among the three regions. Under the theme of “Complementary advantages, mutual development, looking towards the future”, the Government and the industry had a face-to-face discussion on the obstacles and situation that the industry is now facing in order to come up with solutions.
