MIA was awarded “2010 Air Cargo - Award of Excellence”

Macau International Airport was awarded 2010 Air Cargo - Award of Excellence in the airport category of 499,999 or less tons in Asia & Middle East for achieving a superior overall score from the readers of Air Cargo World magazine for the fourth year. This achievement shows that the ability of cargo handling and service quality of MIA is being recognized in the world.

Air Cargo World is a cargo magazine and it is one of the leader magazines of cargo industry. It organizes the “Air Cargo Excellence Award” survey and this is the fifth annual. The Air Cargo Excellence Awards Celebration was taken place in the evening of March 9, 2010 in Vancouver, BC, Canada at the IATA World Air Cargo Symposium.

Since this award mainly measure the service quality and operational efficiency deliver by the respective airport, it reflects the overall services standard and operational efficiency of Macau International Airport perceived by our cargo customer of airlines and airfreight forwarders.  This award also reflected that the service performance of Macau International Airport had not affected by the double impact of Global Financial Crisis and the Cross Strait Direct Flight in 2009.

The prestigious award was accepted by Mr. Franco Kwan, Deputy Director of Logistic Cargo Development Department, CAM – Macau International Airport Co. Ltd., said “It is an honor to be recognised for our performance.
