The ACI Asia-Pacific Small and Emerging Airports Seminar took place at Bali, Indonesia, hosted by Indonesian Airport operator Angkasa Pura from 20th – 22nd October, with the theme ‘Navigating Aviation Growth and Challenges in Southeast Asia’. Ms. Elizabeth Cheong, Deputy Director of Marketing Department and Mr. Edman Lee, Senior Marketing Analyst of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) represented to attend this event.
ACI Asia-Pacific Small and Emerging Airports Seminar is dedicated to addressing the common interests and concerns of small and emerging airports in the Asia Pacific region. The event comprised a pre-seminar workshop on airport economics, the main conference and the ACI Asia-Pacific Small and Emerging Airports Network meeting which focused specifically on key topics, which covered Economic Development Direction of Pacific-Asia, Open Skies – Opportunities and Barriers for Growth, Planning for Flexibility and Future Growth, The Key to Sustainable Growth, Commercial Development for Customer Service and Revenues, The Principles and Practical Guidelines for Effective Air Services Development and Aerodrome Certification. Over 150 participants attended the three-day event.
CAM was announced to be the host of the 2015 ACI Asia-Pacific Small and Emerging Airports Seminar. It is believed that the seminar will be a golden opportunity for airport members to meet and exchange ideas with fellow colleagues and business partners from the region on key challenges facing small and emerging airports in the aviation industry. Through this platform, it will be good opportunity to promote Macau as international leisure and entertainment center in the world and cope with Macau tourism policy.
