Institute of Macao Civil Aviation (IMCA) organized the “IMCA Charity Golf Tournament 2013” on 30th May 2013 at Macao Caesars Golf Club, with co-organizers Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) and King Power Duty Free (Macau) Company Limited. In addition to promote interactions between the civil aviation industry with related businesses, IMCA also takes this opportunity to fulfill its social responsibility through the way of soliciting donations.
The devastating earthquake measuring 7 on Richter scale occurred in Ya’an, Sichuan province of China on 20 April 2013, causing heavy casualties and property losses. IMCA purposely organized this event to solicit for funds as expression of care and blessings for the victims at the disaster. This charity event was highly supported by many local businesses, namely Bank of China (Macau Branch), Menzies Macau Airport Services, Air Macau, ADA-Administration of Airports Limited, Sam Lei Group Company Limited, MPT International Company Limited, Huanyu International Travel Agency Co., Ltd., Keng Heng (Macau) Group Company Limited, Nam Kwong (Group) Company Limited, SWH Commercial Importer & Exporter Company Limited, New Hong Yee Investimentos, S.A., Luso International Banking Limited and Air Link Express (Macau) Co., Ltd.
A total of MOP290,000 was solicited through the event,including donations from the Founding President Mr. Cui Sai Cheong, President Dr. Deng Jun, Director General Ms. Suning Liu and the Supervisory General Mr. Wu Zhiliang, were solicited through the event, and all was given to Macau Red Cross for helping the victims at Ya’an Sichuan. During the golf tournament prize award dinner, a cheque presentation ceremony was done. Ms. Suning Liu, the Director General of IMCA represented the cheque to Mr. Chou Kuok Hei of the Central Council of Macau Red Cross.
