2013 Development Plan

On 5thDecember 2012, our company held an extraordinary General Assembly which unanimously resolved the new members of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the year of 2013-2015. With intimate concern and support, the new company leadership raised three major problems that have been obstructing the development of Macau International Airport to the Macau SAR Government, namely flying birds around neighbouring areas, surrounding road traffic issue and human resources. All these are believed to be able to be improved or solved in short term.

Prospect to 2013, CAM will take the “To Innovate and Win, But Not to Rest on Laurels and Fail” as the new developing strategy to achieve new targets in 2013: 44,000 flight movements, 28,200 tonnes of cargo, 4.7 million of passengers and 1,791 general aviation aircraft movements, finally total revenue for CAM to be MOP798 million.

In coordination with the SAR Government to build up Macau into a world tourism and leisure center, MIA has been exploring into potential market. Air Macau opened a new route to Wenzhou of China in February and will launch another new route between Macau and Jinjiang of China in 2ndApril while increasing to 3 daily flights between Macau and Beijing of China. Jin Air is planning to increase 5 weekly flights between Macau and Seoul of Korea in the second half year.

MIA has been behaving well in the first quarter of 2013, handled 1.1 million of passengers and 374 general aviation aircrafts, representing an increase over 15% and 14% respectively. With the growing demand for general aviation, MIA will expand the market after the business aviation contract expired. After open tender, a design of the new business jet hangar was submitted for approval before commencing construction. The Express Link is expected to be implemented between MIA and Gongbei port in the second quarter in addition to Henqin port launched last year.

To cope with the increasingly frequent passenger flow, infrastructure construction tied in to carry out optimization of baggage handling system and CCTV. The optimization of baggage handling system is expected to be completed this year end, of which the automatic baggage screening back-of-house will bring higher efficiency and the eventual removal of x-ray machine in departure check-in hall will have additional 1,800m2public space to passengers.

For commercial development, CAM has opened tender after the contract of the airport restaurant expired earlier. The three operators are believed to be able to provide more dining options to passengers. After renovation, a total of 1,643m2of operating area will be provided in restaurants. With customer-oriented purpose, the MIA will introduce limousine service in May to provide transportation service arriving MIA to hotel or other destinations.
