Macau International Airport (MIA) flight promotion activity 2011 was kicked off at Zhuhai Department Store on March 19. Representatives of a number of Macao airlines and travel agencies were there to introduce the routes mainly to Southeast Asia and travel products. The opening ceremony was officiated by Ms. Liu Suning - Executive Director of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), Mr. Eric Fong - Director of CAM Marketing Department, Wang Qing - Acting Manager of Air Macau Company Limited Customer Service and Sales Department, Yin Ganxi - Manager of Eva Airways Corporations Customer Service Department, Kevin Lam - General Manager of TransAsia Airways Corporation Macau Branch, Angus Ng - Manager of Air Asia (China), Mito Dizon - Officer of Cebu Pacific Air International Market, Xu Haozhang - District Manager of Jin Air, Wong Keng Wai - General Manager of Air Link Express (Macau) Co. Ltd., Chan Fen - Director of Bank of China Macau Branch Personal Finance Department and others.
The road show includes a series of exciting programs: Korean flight attendants of Air Macau dancing, Macao singers’ performance and magic show. The commissioners of airlines and tourism industry demonstrated and introduced the selective MIA airlines and travel routes designed by the travel agencies to the general public in Zhuhai. They also provided ticketing information to the public at the scene to solve their questions and deepen their knowledge on the MIA and airlines. This is the first station of the series of road shows for the CAM, airline companies and related units have in the Pearl River Delta region.
With the rapid urban construction and improvement of tourist facilities, Macao which has a number of World Heritage sites is becoming a world famous leisure and tourism center and a popular destination of some low-cost airlines, increasing number of tourists come to visit Macao and then fly to the world via the frequent route network. In order to enable more people in Zhuhai understand the existing routes, travel agencies, hotels and other service facilities of the MIA, CAM in cooperation with Air Macau, Asia Airlines, EVA Air, TransAsia Airways, Philippine Airlines, Jin Air, Cebu Pacific Air, Travel Zhuhai, Zhuhai China Travel, Air Link Express (Macau) Co. Ltd. and major hotels in Macao to launch series of promotional activities. The activity highlights the the extraordinary convenience of the MIA. In addition to interaction and playing games with the audience, various aviation souvenirs were distributed to them as well, bringing up the atmosphere. The wonderful dance the flight attendants performed set off the climax of the event, bringing a brand new experience to the audience.
After the event, representatives of CAM and air travel industry, held a briefing with local travel agencies and media in Zhuhai, exchanging and communicating on details of current tourism status, airlines, product packaging, joint promotions, etc. The whole activity was successfully ended in a lively and relaxed atmosphere.
Following the Zhuhai station, the road show will be successively held in Zhongshan, Jiangmen and other places.
