Mr. Deng Jun, Chairman of Board of Directors of Macau International Airport Co. Ltd. (CAM), was invited by the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), Institute for Social and Cultural Research to give a lecture for the “Macao Society” series on 13 January 2011. The theme of the lecture is: “Growing in Stress, Flying About with the Wind – Development of Civil Aviation”. The Chairman shared with the MUST students the history of Macao Civil Aviation Industry development.
The lecture is divided into four major parts about Macao Civil Aviation: including the “frustrating” modern history and the contemporary history full of “miracles”, “a door Macao people are proud of” – Macau International Airport (MIA), as well as the idea of the future development. Of which, the Chairman mentioned that the MIA will be promoted to be constructed and developed into a virtualized, cultural and green airport. Innovation is regarded as the core for featured airport construction; therefore, the employees are encouraged to actively elaborate their creativities.
After the one-and-a-half-hour of lecture, the students were enthusiastically expressing their questions and interests on Macao Civil Aviation. Prof. Chen Xi, the MUST Vice Rector and Prof. Qian Chengdan, Director of Institute for Social and Cultural Research and others also attended the lecture. Subsequently, Prof. Chen on behalf of the MUST presented souvenirs to the Chairman as an expression of gratitude.
