In order to reinforce and to reclaim the development of the Taiwan Aviation Market, CAM Macau International Airport delegates, Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing, and Mr. Frankie Wu, Assistant Manager of Marketing, had attended 2011 Taipei Tourism Exposition, which was held in Taipei organized by the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) on 12th – 14th May 2011. The said exposition served as a platform for the promotion of Macau and Taiwan tourism industry, and created the opportunity of meeting with different Taiwan based Airlines in conferring future cooperation and route development.
The 2011 Taipei Tourism Exposition (TTE) was organized by the Taipei Association of Travel Agents, a very long history association which have established in Taiwan for 40 years, and Top Link International Exhibition Co., Ltd. Also, the establishment of the said exposition relies on the integration of resources and support from the Taiwan Government and the locals, which created a platform for the Macau Tourism industry to promote and exhibit Macau tourism products at Taiwan.
In recent years, The Macau International Airport has always constructively strived in developing diversified markets in order to cope with the cross strait direct flight strategy. Striving to deviate the image of transfer airport, and successfully revolved MIA’s image to destination airport. Nevertheless, Taiwan continues to be one of the most significant passenger sources of Macau.
Although the demand for cross strait service will definitely increase, the Mandarin Airlines is still planning to launch charter flight service between Taichung – Macau in year 2011. Macau International Airport will work closely with MGTO and related industry partners for promoting the opening of the route.
