Cebu Pacific Air commenced flight service between Macau and Cebu on the 7th December 2018, which enriches holiday planners with more travel options. The new flight service provides four weekly services on every Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, and Sunday, landing Macau at approximately 21:45pm, and arriving Cebu at local time 01:25am; each flight durations approximately 3 hour. The airline held an inaugural celebration at Macau International Airport (MIA) on the same date, marking the official launch of flights between Macau and Cebu. Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) represented to attend the activity.
Mr. Eric Fong extended a very warm welcome to Cebu Pacific Air new service in MIA. He expressed, adding the current flight services to Manila, Clark, and Tuguegarao, the launch of Cebu became MIA fourth direct flight services to the Philippines. With the newly launch of Cebu services, MIA is confident to further diversify passenger profile, bringing in more visitors to this fascinating destination. As always, MIA strives to incorporate with the objectives of the government’s policy to build Macau as a “World Tourism and Leisure Center”, with Cebu Pacific Air commence services between Macau and Cebu, it marked a further step in expanding air transportation between both regions, and along with the expedite growth of travelers, and enhanced closer co-operation between the two places. MIA will continue working with airlines, to explore opportunities and strengthen co-operation, and further expand Macau air service networks.
To meet with the travel peak season in Christmas, MIA will continue close cooperation with airlines to strengthen frequency of existing routes, and continue provide safe, comfort, and hassle free journey to travelers.
