Dr. Deng Jun - Chairman of the Executive Committee of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) received Mr. Makoto Natsume – President & CEO of Narita Airport and his delegation on 17th April, 2019, both sides improved mutual understanding and communicated about the latest development of both airports.

Chairman Deng Jun expressed that Macau International Airport (MIA) since the establishment in 24 years ago, we uphold the core value of the company “Safety, Efficiency and Effectiveness” at all time, and to retain the commitment of “rooted in Macao and backed up by the motherland while facing the world and striving for excellence'' to overcome difficulties and challenges, and MIA becomes the example of medium-small size international airport in the world.  Narita International Airport as one of the core airport at Tokyo Japan, volume of passengers and cargo have increased rapidly with huge route network, ranked among the best over the world, and maintain a long-term and friendly relationship with MIA, through this business exchange, it deepen the mutual understanding of both airports and to move forward for the future cooperation.  An airport tour was arranged to the delegation, Ms. Winnie Hsu, Director of Planning and Commercial Development Department introduced the field of airport’s non-aeronautical revenue, and the major part of the airport's daily operation were entrusted to professional companies for management. Non-aeronautical revenue for 2018 was 55.8% of total income.  Mr. Sandro Kou, Director of Infrastructure Development Department introduced the construction project of the airport, how to expand the airport’s capacity with limited land resources, to optimize the apron and increase number of aircraft parking, as to meet the relevant standards of civil aviation and maintain high service standards.  The delegation was impressed by the operation efficiency and airport’s non-aeronautical revenue, they also discussed on the development of Macau’s business aviation, airport’s master plan, optimization of airport infrastructure, as to deepen the understanding of MIA’s business.
