Mr. Sandro Kou, the Director of Infrastructure Development Department of CAM, Mr. Alex Fong, the Deputy Director of Infrastructure Development Department of CAM and Mr. Leong Chan Pon, the Security Manager of Airport Operations Department of CAM attended the security exchange visit to the Police Training Center of CAAC Aviation Security Bureau, Kunming Changshui International Airport and Yunnan Department of Public Security Civil Airport Public Security Bureau held by Macau Civil Aviation Authority on 7 – 9 May 2019.

The exchange content with the Police Training Center of CAAC Aviation Security Bureau included the civil aviation security personnel training in the Mainland and in Macau; the training and certification requirement of different grades of civil aviation security personnel; the certification requirement for security screening trainers and security managers; civil aviation security quality control programme; the human resources factors in security works. The airport representatives also visited the facilities of the training center and the Joint Research Laboratory of Civil Aviation Counter Terrorism Technology to understand the X-ray machine computer-based training system/threat image projection system.

In addition, the airport representatives had a visit and study of the civil aviation security structure of Kunming Changshui International Airport; the access card system for control area; the cyber-security measures; cargo security measures; security equipment and new technology; security gate and channel facilities, etc. This exchange provided reference for future enhancement of security measures, equipment and personnel training to Macau International Airport.
