The Fourteenth Meeting of ICAO Aeronautical Information Services - Aeronautical Information Management Implementation Task Force was held at the ICAO Asia and Pacific Office in Bangkok, between 20th and 24th of May 2019, with a total of 89 representatives from 24 States in the Asia Pacific Region, 2 special administrative regions and 3 international organizations and 4 industry partners. Mr. Sonny Sun, Senior ITC Engineer, and Mr. Peter Ng, Senior AIC Supervisor of Airport Operations Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) participated in the meeting together with the representative from AACM.

The Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) implementation has been one of the hottest topics in this several years. This AAITF meeting focuses on and monitors the transition from AIS to AIM in Asia Pacific region, and in particular monitors development of the replacement of Annex 4, Annex 15, and guidance documents such as Doc 8126 and Doc 10066 which are under development by ICAO. Means of aeronautical data management regarding aeronautical information exchange model (AIXM) and electronic AIP (eAIP) in other regions are studied to promote the implementation of these methods and models in Asia Pacific region. States also share among each other their experiences, challenges faced, and the progress on AIM implementation. This meeting has a positive impact on Macao aviation industry, not only for us to be able to keep track of the global AIM trend and progress, but also to get prepared to tackle foreseeable problems in order to have a smoother AIM implementation at Macau International Airport.
