Mr. Eric Fong – Director of Marketing Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), Mr. Franco Kwan - Deputy Director and Mr. Daniel Lam - Manager had paid a business visit to airlines in Taipei on 28th November 2019, to discuss on aspects of future route development, business cooperation and the market outlook of Macau International Airport (MIA) one year after the opening of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB).
Representatives from CAM were greeted by EVA Air, Ms. Sarah Wu – Deputy Junior Vice President of Corporate Planning Division and Mr. Eason Tsai – Deputy Manager of Corporate Planning Division. They exchanged views on the future direction of EVA Air’s route development, the future route development strategy of MIA, the progress of expansion of Passenger Terminal Building of MIA and the market outlook of MIA one year after the opening of HZMB. They also had discussed how to achieve efficient cooperation in near future.
CAM’s marketing delegation had also paid a visit to the headquarters of Tigerair Taiwan in Taipei. The delegation was received by Mr. Ho Jo Chang – Chairman, Mr. Dennis Lai – Chief Operations Officer, Ms. Ingrid Lin – Director of Business Development Department and other related team members of Tigerair Taiwan. They exchanged opinions on Tigerair Taiwan’s vision to strengthen the development of Macau-Taiwan routes, the progress of expansion of Passenger Terminal Building South Extension of MIA, the market outlook of MIA one year after the opening of HZMB and the setting up of MIA Check-in Center in HZMB. CAM also had discussed how to assist Tigerair Taiwan in promotion through different media channel.
The delegation from CAM also visited the headquarters of the newly established STARLUX Airlines in Taipei. The delegation was received by Mr. Jerry Lee – Vice President of Airport Operations Division and other related team members of STARLUX Airlines. They exchanged opinions on the preparations of the inauguration flight to Macau, STARLUX Airlines’ vision to the development of Macau-Taiwan routes, the market outlook of MIA and other topics. CAM had explored the cooperation with STARLUX Airlines to develop common market to attract more passengers from the Greater Bay Area and develop more new routes.
