CEO of VariFlight Technology Co. Ltd. Mr. Zheng Hongfeng and his delegation paid a visit to Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) on 19ᵗʰ October 2020, and was warmly received by CAM Chairman of the Executive Committee Dr. Deng Jun and the Executive Committee members, which include: Mr. Chu Tan Neng, Mr. Kan Cheok Kuan, Mr. Lei Si Tai and Mr. Leung Henry Yee Hang. A meeting was held, at which Mr. Zheng introduced technology VariFlight provides and gave recommendation for the smartization implementation of Macau International Airport (MIA). Representatives from both sides shared their experience in smart airport construction and conducted interactive exchanges at the meeting.

VariFlight has more than ten years of experience in the industry, with data covering 1,279 airlines and 10,968 airports worldwide, and daily monitoring of the dynamic trajectories of more than 170,000 aircraft worldwide. VariFlight has served more than 100 civil aviation companies using smart civil aviation solutions. The A-CDM system cooperating with Macau International Airport has been basically completed and is under testing and trial stage. The A-CDM system allows the entire business flow to be visualized, and continuously tracks the aircraft conditions and flight operations that need to be paid attention to; realizes accurate prediction of ETA, TOBT and so on, acheives evaluation systems such as delay reasons and guarantee process evaluation, and launches modules of departure sequencing, coordination releasing and push back sequencing, handling of large-scale flight delays, and dynamic adjustment of flight plans.

Mr. Zheng Hongfeng believes that the emergence of any new technology will be promoted around the core value of the industry. By improving efficiency through new technology, the time to implement physical connection will be shortened eventually, the improvement of the level of "average wisdom" can hence reduce the cost of wisdom realization. MIA can, according to the need of in-depth research, follow the scientific and technological recommendation given by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and new scientific and technological trends, formulate and promote the smart plan of the core airport, ascertain the solutions of key needs and positioning tactics, build data platform and smart application, monitor and improve the data, and give feedback according to the inspection effect.

Participants presented practical situations for preliminary discussions. Both sides agreed that in-depth discussions were needed to formulate a smart construction plan suitable for MIA.
