The 16th Tripartite Civil Aviation Flight Check Seminar among the Mainland of China, Hong Kong and Macau was held in Zhuhai from 5th to 6th December 2024 and was attended by 19 leaders and experts from the three parties, representatives from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) attended the seminar.
The meeting focused on reviewing the cooperation issues among Hong Kong, Macau and the Mainland of China in the flight check aspects and the flight checks implementation status at Hong Kong International Airport and Macau International Airports in the past year. Representative from Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (CAD) introduced the results of the three-runway system and the result completed by drone for some items during the flight check. Representative from the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao Special Administrative Region (AACM) introduced the airport flight check status, Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) equipment test and personnel training, and expressed that preparations have been made for the official use of such equipment for flight check in Macau in the future.
The Civil Aviation Flight Check Centre of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and CAD expressed their special gratitude to AACM and Macau International Airport for the strong support to the three-runway system flight check activities of Hong Kong International Airport. Furthermore, the arrangements for the flight check schedule next year is also confirmed during the meeting in order to ensure the safe airport operations.
