The 1st Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO) Asia-Pacific Safety Workgroup & Operations Workgroup Meeting 2025 was held in Hong Kong, from 14th to 15th January 2025. Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), as an official member, sent representatives to attend this meeting.

The meeting brought together more than 90 industry leaders and air traffic management experts from the Asia-Pacific region, major global air traffic control equipment manufacturers and air traffic control technology research institutions. The meeting introduced and shared the impact of the rapid development of drone flights on air traffic management, and explored how to integrate air traffic management/unmanned aircraft system traffic management (ATM/UTM) through regulations and new technology applications. Another topic was the introduction and integration of meteorological information into the air traffic control system for simultaneous display, so that controllers could intuitively obtain real-time weather information and effectively provide corresponding air traffic control services. The meeting discussed through various means aiming to improve the safety level and service efficiency of air traffic service providers in the region.
