In pace with the planning and implementation of North and South Passenger Terminal Extension Projects in Macau International Airport, a 5 days in-house training of “Airport Terminal Planning and Design” was held at multi-function room of CAM Office Building by Macau International Airport Co. Ltd. (CAM) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) from 22nd to 26th October 2018. Course was delivered by IATA authorized instructor, Mr. Joe Sulmona; and mainly focused on planning and advanced technical design of passenger terminal building. This course provided participants comprehensive knowledge on airport planning and the use of terminal space to aim at meeting the needs of airport users and hence to the optimization of efficiency and performance of airport facilities. By skillful and advanced planning, the convenience and service level for customers could be further enhanced, so that achieving the improvement of passenger convenience.
A total of 19 staff from various departments and functional work aspects, such as infrastructure development, commercial planning and airport operation, etc., had participated this course to exchange ideas through class learning and group discussion. It has not only enhanced participants the theoretical cognition of related knowledge, but also provided guidance and reference for the future planning assignments of extension and optimizing projects.
