On 15th November 2016, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) Dr. Deng Jun led a delegation to meet with Commissioner of Fire Services Department Mr. Leung Iok Sam at the fire station at Macau International Airport, to discuss about the operational situational there, so as to enhance the support to the fire services at airport to safeguard precautions measures.
Fire Services Department Airport Station undertakes the responsibility of emergency rescue at Macau International Airport (MIA). It was reflected that a large amount of sediment from the reclamation area near MIA flowing to the adjacent area of Fire Services Department Airport Station, which has already affected fire control work. Measures should be taken to ensure the safe operation of fire control. After a brief made by Commissioner Leung, Chairman Deng visited the firefighters’ dormitory, training and fitness rooms to have more in-depth idea about their job requirements. Both sides agree to coordinate closely to level up the efficiency and effectiveness of the fire services at airport.
