The Aviation Festival Asia 2015 took place at Singapore on 12th - 13th Feb. The event attracted over 1000 attendees from the region’s aviation community and 150 industry representative speakers gave speeches in the two days festival. The event provided a platform and best chance for the professionals to meet by keynote interviews, interactive roundtables, workshops and plenty of networking opportunities.
Mr.Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) gave a speech of “How the development of Macau’s LCC industry benefits the overall Macau’s economy”. He introduced the current situation of LCC operating at Macau International Airport (MIA) as well as the advantages and future potentials. He pointed out that the overall volume of tourists and tourism revenue keep increasing was benefited by the effort of actively bringing more multiple airlines to further enriched the whole tourism market of Macau. Quality of hardware and software services, effectiveness and efficiency is continuously being improved by MIA as to provide a better travel experience to passengers, as well as the better operating environment for airlines.
Mr.Daniel Lam, Assistant Manager of Marketing Department of CAM, also attended the event. The two representatives met and negotiated with several airlines including PEACH airlines. The representative of CEO of Peach Airlines expressed the intention to commence service from Japan to Macau, which is the next target of the airlines as well. Besides, they were also meeting some Airlines from India and Indonesia to discuss the opportunities to flight to Macau during the conference.
