The 2012 Macau Dragon Boat Competition will be held on the 16^th, 17^th and 23^rd June 2012 at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Center. As this is one of the highlighted events held in Macau, Macau International Airport Co., Ltd. works with Macau Sport Development Board, and the Macau China Dragon Boat Association in organizing a dragon boat exhibition at the airport departure hall showcasing a 12.5m traditional dragon boat from 11^th – 26^th June 2012. Macau International Airport takes this opportunity to acts as a platform to strengthen the cultural and historical traditions of dragon boat racing while promoting the uniqueness of this event.

Dragon boat races has become a significant event of Macau, it attracts contestants from around Asia to take part in such an extraordinary and excitement competition, which has become larger in scale year after year, with more contestants from different industries and regions taking part in it. It is also one of Macau residents’ favorite traditional sport activities. Throughout these years, this traditional activity has become a necessary event to celebrate Tung Ng Festival.

To offer travelers a closer view of the dragon boat, and at the same time increases the festive atmosphere of Tung Ng in Macau International Airport, a traditional dragon boat is displayed at the departure level from 11^th – 26^th June 2012.
