AIMS has signed a Smart Airport Blueprint Planning Agreement with Huawei

The Macau International Airport Smart Airport Blueprint Planning Consultancy Service Agreement Signing Ceremony between Airport Information Management Solution Ltd (AIMS) and Huawei Technologies co., Ltd (Huawei) was held on 16 December 2021 at Huawei Shenzhen Headquarter. Both parties agreed to develop strategic cooperation in areas such as digital transformation renovation and smart airport top frame blueprint planning, etc.

Mr. Lei Si Tai, the Executive Director of Macau International Airport Company Ltd (CAM) and the Chairman of Board of Directors of AIMS, Mr. Chu Tan Neng, the Executive Director of CAM and the Board Director of AIMS, Ms. Sharon Wang, the General Manager of AIMS, Mr. Patrick So, the Deputy General Manager of AIMS; and Mr. Jackey Wang, President of Global Transportation Business Unit of Huawei, Mr. Moussa Huang, Vice President of Global Transportation Business Unit and President of Aviation Business Unit of Huawei, Mr. Jackie Li, General Manager of Macao Enterprise Business Group of Huawei, Mr. Kent Chau, Account Director of Macao Enterprise Business Group of Huawei and Mr. Kevin Xie, Aviation Solutions Specialist of Global Transportation Business Unit of Huawei attended this signing ceremony.

Macau International Airport (MIA) is always devoted to develop the smart airport concept, from the aspects of smart operation, smart service, smart business and smart management by enhancing the airport digitalization, to build MIA to be as the model of multi-function small-medium size international airport; meanwhile, aligned with Macau Government's positioning of Smart City, MIA will intensify the construction of smart airport in the five-years development plan.

AIMS, an IT company wholly owned by CAM focusing mainly on the provision of IT solutions, system development and maintenance services, is obligated to promote the airport informatization and digitalization, actively introduces new technologies and equipment, provides technical support and maintenance services for airport operation and management systems to ensure airport runs safely and efficiently. Huawei has been deeply involved in civil aviation industry for many years, serving over 100 airports and airlines around the world. With accumulated service experiences, Huawei can provide professional IT consulting and planning services in accordance with the specific application scenarios of airport to meet the requirements of smart airport.

Based on smart airport development vision and the actual needs of MIA, Huawei will adopt its strong technical strength and planning capability to carry out the consultancy service on the digital transformation, top level blueprint design, and the development roadmap planning by sorting out airport operation processes and analyzing the system barriers as well. Both parties will use their industry advantages and business capabilities to conduct in-depth discussion and exchanges in the fields of airport management, operation, security and passenger services, to jointly draw a blueprint guiding the construction of smart airport, as well achieving the sustainable development strategic target of MIA.
