Representative of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) and representatives of Civil Aviation Authority of Macau paid a visit the Civil Aviation University of China (CAUC) in Tianjin from 26th to 28th June 2024, aiming to conduct preliminary preparation of the application for the CAUC to be an air traffic control training organization (ATO) recognized by the Civil Aviation Authority of Macau (AACM). An in-depth discussion was made regarding the training proposal of ATO in Macau which included teaching materials, qualification of professional teachers, English teaching competency level, tower control simulator teaching equipment and logistics support capabilities, etc.
Civil Aviation University of China is the major university in China for training aviation management talents. It is jointly invested and managed by the National Ministry of Education, the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Tianjin Municipal People's Government. Since its establishment in 1951, the University has more than 200,000 graduates and has exported outstanding talents for the rapid development of China's civil aviation industry. This visit helps to deepen the understanding of CAUC. It will lay a solid foundation for cultivating aviation talents for Macau aviation industry in the near future.
