From 26th to 29th March 2018, the Director of Infrastructure Development Department, Mr. Sandro Kou represented Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) to participate in the “2018 Symposium on Civil Aviation Industry Exchanges between China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau” organized by the Civil Aviation Administration of China in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. The three-days seminar and exchange activities attracted nearly 130 senior management personnel from Civil Aviation Authorities, airlines, airports and industry associations in the Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau of China. The symposium is theme of “Sharing Together and Benefiting each other”. Deputy Administrator of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Mr. Wang Zhiqing delivered a speech at the event that he hoped the cooperation development among the Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau of China in the civil aviation industry could grasp the historical opportunities, lay a solid foundation of development, innovate the cooperation models, and work together for prosperity.
In the seminar, civil aviation companies revolved around the theme, summed up the development of the civil aviation industry in the past year, combined with the current situation in the Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau of China the air transport development, spoke freely and provided advice and suggestions. Among the sharing, Mr. Wang Zhiqing stated that the development of civil aviation in the Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau of China in the past year is gratifying, mainly in terms of consolidating and strengthening flight safety, increasing transport volume, continuous improvement in operation quality, and to expand international influence. Mr. Wang emphasized that this year marks the beginning of a new era for our country’s development. The development of cross-strait four regions civil aviation cooperation must capture the opportunities, actively integrate into national development strategies, identify its own position, and achieve development and growth in win-win cooperation.
CAM’s representative has exchanged idea and experience with the representatives from the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong of China. By introducing the aviation business at the Macau International Airport, he deepened their understanding and to explore the opportunity of cooperation. The activity also included inspection of the Sanqingshan Airport and local civil aviation facilities in Shangrao City, which helped the participants to understand more about the development of the local civil aviation industry.
