Macau International Airport Increase Self Service Check-in Kiosk System25 Sep 2019

Macau International Airport (MIA) increase Self Service Check-in Kiosks at the Departure terminal to facilitate and shorten the time needed for check-in procedures.  With 12 kiosks being implemented in the terminal now, it helps passengers speed up check-in procedures, creating a more streamlined approach to security channel and through to departures; while passengers with check-in baggage are required to proceed to the baggage check-in counter for bag tag, then move on to the hold baggage screening check point for security screening.  The Self Service Check-in Kiosks are easy to use by following step-by-step instructions appearing on the screen; meanwhile, there are also airport customer service agents at the kiosks for further assistance.  The Self Service Check-in Kiosks currently are only applicable to passengers travelling with Air Macau and Xiamen Airline, and will progressively introduce more airlines using this platform.  With the continuous development on airport technologies, MIA will implement more virtual solutions, aiming to enhance passenger travel experience.
