Director of Health Bureau and CAM Executive Committee Members Inspected Epidemic Prevention Measures of MIA01 Apr 2021

Due to the overlap of Ching Ming Festival and Easter Holiday this year, there is a five-day holiday staring from 2nd April 2021 in Macau. The Public Security Police Force predicts that the flow of people entering and exiting Macau via various ports will be increased, thus it is necessary proceeding epidemic prevention works in safe and orderly manner to ensure the public health particularly during the period. After swearing-in ceremony today (1st April 2021), Director of Health Bureau (SSM) Dr. Lo Iek Long paid a site visit to Macau International Airport (MIA) in the afternoon. Chairman of the Executive Committee of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) Dr. Deng Jun, Executive Directors Mr. Chu Tan Neng, Mr. Kan Cheok Kuan, Mr. Lei Si Tai, and Deputy Commissioner of Public Security Police Force (CPSP) Ms. Ng Sou Peng, accompanied Director Lo and his delegation visiting the departure and arrival hall of the airport terminal building to check about COVID-19 control measures and immigration arrangement, passenger movement route after arrival and relevant checking procedures of health codes and customs codes for departure passengers. During the visit, Dr. Lo expressed sincere appreciation to the effort of frontline staff from SSM. The Airport Director Mr. Gary Geng has introduced relevant prevention measures in details and the response plan for the high passenger flow period that may possibly occur this weekend while exchanged for opinions to constantly enhance the epidemic prevention works of MIA. As the air bridge connecting Macau to the world, Macau International Airport will continue to actively cooperate with the SAR Government and Health Bureau for the implementation of the prevention works of epidemic and will never slack off, meanwhile, to consolidate Macau’s position as the international gateway.
