Macau International Airport Urges Local Residents and Visitors to Pay

The Super Typhoon “Usagi” is approaching, Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) officially hosted typhoon no.1 at 1pm on 21st Sep, 2013. Until 5pm on the same day, although Macau International Airport (MIA) was temporarily not affected much under the typhoon, with flights landing and departing as usual, local residents and visitors are urged to check about flight information before going to the Airport. For the updating flight information, the public can check on the Macau International Airport website (www.macau-airport.com), mobile application (download from the two-dimensional code under this article) or call at the ADA-Administration of Airports. Ltd. (+853 28861111) while the ADA will release the flight information to all local media regularly and continuously for getting public attention.

“Mid-Autumn Pastry Specialty Carnival 2013” Hold at MIA

From now until September 22, one of the highlight of the “Mid-Autumn Pastry Specialty Carnival 2013”, the series of interactive tasting activities is taking place in the departure hall of the Macau International Airport. The event is jointly organized by Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) and Macao Pastry Specialty Association (MPSA). At the scene, there will be traditional pastry chef demonstrating how to make some of the Macau’s specialty food, liked nougat, almond cookie, egg roll, meat jerky and the festival moon cake, etc. The interactive activities attracted visitors stop by watching, with souvenirs and free tasting offered to them, bring rich festive atmosphere to the entire airport.

Additions of Water Dispensing Machines in Macau International Airport

For improving the standard of service quality, Macau International Airport has put continuous efforts for improving various facilities for catering different customer needs. In particular, 5 water dispensing machines, which have been installed in departure level waiting lounge (airside), has received frequent usage by travelers. Customer feedback has reflected that the need of this service is paramount. Therefore it is decided to implement additional water dispensing machines in landside and airside of various levels inside the passenger terminal building. By now there are 18 water dispensing machines in total throughout passenger terminal building, complimentary for public use.

CAM Participated the Promotion Event in Zheng Zhou

To promote the upcoming new route from Zhengzhou to Macau via Fuzhou, and to give the Zhengzhou travel industry a better understanding of Macau tourism resources and the latest travel information, Xiamen Airlines and Global International Tourist Company Limited jointly held a promotion activity at Zhengzhou, Henan Province in August. “Mid-Autumn Pastry Speciality Carnival 2013” Opening debuts at Macau I

On 3rd September 2013, Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) cooperated with Macao Pastry Speciality Association (MPSA) to host the opening ceremony for the “Mid-Autumn Pastry Speciality Carnival 2013” at the departure hall of Macau International Airport (MIA), as a prelude to a series of upcoming activities showcasing the tradition of Macau souvenirs culture. Ms. Chan Tze Wai, Deputy Director of Macao Economic Services; Mr. Lam Vai Hong, President of Macao Pastry Speciality Association (MPSA); Mr. Alan Wong, Executive Vice President of MPSA; Mr. Alan Ho,President of Board of Directors of MPSA and Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited attended the opening ceremony. Through photo exhibition, distribution of brochures, on-site pastries production and a series of interactive tasting activities the carnival is aiming to promote the culture of the reputable Macau souvenirs.

MIA recorded continuous passenger volume growth in August, keeps to se

Macau International Airport records stable growth in passenger volume in 2013. Until 31st August 2013, over 3.3 million of total passenger is recorded this year, in which increased for 12.5% compare to the same period of last year. Whereas traffic movement is over 32,000, a growth of 18.5 % as compared to last year.
