Macau International Airport Recorded Stable Growth in July Traffic

In July, Macau International Airport (MIA) recorded a stable growth in both passenger traffic volume and aircraft movement, which is a break through. Passenger volume surpassed 440,000, representing an increase of 5%, and aircraft movement over 4,200 recorded a 15% increase comparing to the same period last year. The travel demand of local residents and tourists drive the summer holiday one of the busiest period for travelling. The air market performs well especially for the routes of Mainland and the Southeast Asia region.

“4th China and Portuguese Speaking Countries Airports Conference – Mac

Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) has been in line with the MSAR Government’s economic and trade development policies, successfully held three China and Portuguese Speaking Countries Airports Conferences since the year of 2004 in a way to play the role of Macau as a platform between China and Portuguese speaking countries. The meeting was held every three years while the last one held in 2010 in Macau. This year, CAM will continue to organize the “4th China and Portuguese Speaking Countries Airports Conference – Macau 2013” from 24th – 26th Sept 2013, to promote management, infrastructure and operation of airports in China, Portuguese speaking countries and Macau, as well as cooperation and business dealings among air transport enterprises.

2013 CAM 1st Half Year Result Evaluation and 2nd Half Year Work Plan

Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) held a presentation on “2013 CAM 1st Half Year Result Evaluation and 2nd Half Year Work Plan” at CAM office building on 12th July 2013. The Chairman of the Board of Directors - Mr. Ma Iao Hang, Chairman of the Executive Committee - Dr. Deng Jun, Executive Directors - Mr. Ng Fok and Mr. Tsui Wai Kwan. Each Department Directors and Chiefs of the two Representative Offices reported the results evaluation of the 1st half year of 2013, their work plan and development direction for the coming 2nd half year.

CAM Received "Cooperation Fair of Guangdong-Macao Logistics Sector 201

On 28th June 2013, delegates from "Cooperation Fair of Guangdong-Macao Logistics Sector 2013" including representatives from Commission for the Development of Logistics Sector and the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province visited Macau International Airport (MIA). Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) then introduced the current Air Cargo condition. Executive Director of CAM - Mr. Tsui Wai Kwan expressed in his welcome speech that, MIA has always been an important bridge connecting Macao to the world; MIA has several favorable conditions for Air Cargo Transfer development such as its prime location and free aviation rights. Strengthening the cooperation between Guangdong and Macao logistics enterprises would enhance complementary advantages for both regions.

Macau international airport sets new record in June

For the second quarter of 2013, Macau International Airport (MIA) recorded continuous growth in passenger traffic volume and aircraft movement. In the first half year of 2013, Passenger volume surpassed 2.3 million, aircraft movement over 23 thousand representing a 15% increase and a 21% increase respectively comparing to the same period of last year. The passenger volume in June recorded over 400,000 and the aircraft movements recorded over 4,000, an increase of 12% and 23% respectively over the same month of last year.
